Originally developed by Beta Boom, #NewPattern is a movement that seeks to promote and celebrate founders from various backgrounds in order to change the narrative that diverse founders can and do create successful companies. This movement also aims to advance the fact that companies that seek to serve the needs of a greater variety of people are tremendous opportunities for economic growth and investment.

#NewPatternUT is the first coalition to come out of the #NewPattern movement. Each of the partners brings valuable expertise, networks and resources to this collaboration.

The Black Success Center (located at The Shop in Salt Lake City), is a cultural hub offering the Black community a space to connect as well as grow Black businesses and professionals. The Center provides the community with co-working space, incubator offices, conference rooms, training rooms, and an event hall for cultural programming and webinars.

The Utah Black Chamber was initially founded in 2009 by our Founder and President, James Jackson III to design a creative hub for black entrepreneurs, minority business owners, and their allies to build a network of community, resources, and funds that help the advancement of all minority-owned businesses; more specifically black-owned ventures.

Utah is one of the nation's fastest growing states. Our strong economy, cost of living, and great outdoors make us an attractive place to live. As our population continues to grow, our residents will need access to various resources.

Living Color Utah is a project commissioned by Salt Lake City Corporation. The purpose of Living Color Utah is to provide resources for Utah's diverse population.

Our mission is to ensure that all black businesses are included in this site and connected to both new customers and the applicable resources that ensure their success.
