Compliance Officer

L’Bertrice Solomon believes empowerment of Black entrepreneurs helps expand our nation’s economy.  Her mantra is “Engagement Equals Empowerment.”  L’Bertrice Solomon is a former senior business law consultant who currently works in Public Health law & policy as a Health Equity Leader.  As a staunch advocate for anti-poverty efforts, L’Bertrice has committed her life to broaden social, economic, and educational opportunities for marginalized communities rife with poverty and the persistence of the racial wealth gap.  L’Bertrice’s acceptance into the Compliance Officer role at the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce and the UAACC Charitable Foundation offers her unique opportunities and possibilities to develop a wide range of services and resources to respond to the specific needs of Black business owners.

Inspired by Shirley Chisholm, the first African American and woman to run for President of the United States; Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice, and Charles Hamilton Houston, the first African American Dean of Howard University Law School, who trained Thurgood Marshall, L’Bertrice is tenacious in transforming social conditions that will work to close the wealth gap in Black communities in Utah. Dr. Solomon will champion organizational endeavors to create pathways for leadership, entrepreneurship, and access to business capital via corporate partnerships, mentoring, and access to higher education.

L’Bertrice Solomon’s multiple graduate and professional degrees support her commitment to empowering Black communities by building supportive ecosystems for Black businesses, access to health equity, and economic development.  She employs her passion, purpose, and perspective to serve the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce and the UAACC Charitable Foundation in increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the landscape of the Utah business sector.
